We ended up getting a flat tire in Indiana; in retrospect, I am almost positive the tire lost air due to the valve stem, versus the tire itself, which was brand new and had no objects stuck in it. In any case, preparation saved the day, I had previously checked the spare tire pressure and \"knew the drill.\" The fact that the weather was in the 80s helped as well. We were rolling on the spare and found a WalMart just minutes away; all within the span of about an hour.
