Camping at Ded Tick Ranch - Day 2

Today was a full day of doing nothing, yet a lot. The kids started off by exploring the area and finding an abandoned camper. Later, James and Daisy took off to find mountains, and Hazel and I stayed and played poker (Hazel won most games.) During late afternoon, the wind and rain started to come; Hazel and I spent some time simply holding the tent from blowing over. Surprisingly, the 2 man tent was resiliant to the wind. Today ended with flying the stunt kite for the first time in years, and then another classic camp dinner. As night descended and it got cold, the kids REALLY did not want to sleep in the tent again; they were too cold the night before. So, we cleared the car out and put them up for the night in the trusty volvo. By doing so, we bought ourselves one more night of solitude.
